On August 21, 2017, Mirsad Sadikovic suffered a spinal cord injury at the T10-T11 level as a result of a gunshot wound. He came to Project Walk Houston all the way from Louisville, Kentucky to visit in January 2018, and during his visit worked incredibly hard to improve on not only his core function, but his sensation and function below his injury level.
During his time at PW Houston, he was able to complete knee extensions on the total gym, stand without upper body support, and press 35 pounds on the hip/glute machine.
It was a huge honor and joy getting to work with Mirsad and his family, and he will be missed as he continues his road to recovery back in Louisville.
